It's Official!

I am now an MBA graduate! After sacrificing time, sleep, a social life, among other things... I have officially graduated from my Master's program. It has been a long, hard road. At times, I wasn't sure if I was going to make. I am glad I did. Wherever this life takes me, I know that I have accomplished something that only a small percentage of the population has accomplished... especially being a woman, and more importantly, being a single mother.
My children were part of my drive and motivation to begin and finish this program. I did not want my children to grow up and settle for a job that they were well overqualified for and underpaid. I did not want my children to grow up and gives excuses as to why they were "held back" by others. I want my children to grow up and do what they are capable of and more. I want my children to face obstacles and laugh as they say, "I can conquer this!"
I do not want to preach to my children the importance of higher education. I want to lead by example. I love my kids with all of my heart and soul and I want to leave a legacy of strength, courage, and drive. In spite of the fact that many people didn't think that I could do this, especially under the circumstances, I DID IT! I want my kids to know that no one and nothing can stop them from accomplishing anything they set their minds to... no matter if the only person that believes in them is themselves... and sometimes that might be put to the test.
